The flagship product, Bullards Norwich Dry Gin is a gin of distinction, but after their massively successful Strawberry and Black Pepper gin it was time to concoct an aged Old Tom addition.

There is a rule of thumb when creating an Old Tom, and you have to build up the sweetness whilst ramping up the botanical intensity, the flavours should concentrate the mind and be sweet and strong.

And the boys at Bullards have done just that, but as is their way, they have gone a little off piste and added honey and a big splash of exotic mango as well as that old firecracker, a sprinkle of pink peppercorns for good measure.

I love an Old Tom to be fair, but I adore this one, the first sip had a powerful citrus twang which was bolstered by the sweetness of honey and fruity mango that developed nicely with fruit notes, hints of pepper and oak into a light spearmint freshness adventure that true gin fans will embrace with a passion.
