I was very keen to try this award winning, quadruple distilled, hand crafted English Gin, I loved the fact it's almost colonial in its complex mix of 12 botanicals from around the world including poppy, dragon eye (think lychee fruit), lotus leaves (from China), citrus, almond, liquorice and lavender to name but just a few.
For the taste test I cracked open the bottle at lunch (yes whilst at work :)) and found it extremely smooth and mixable, the first sip was bang on, although the juniper was noticeable it soon oozed a citrus essence and was delicately spicy, the cinnamon, cardamom and citrus left me with a lingering warm palate and basically wanting more, alas lunch was over too soon, but between you and me (don't tell the boss) I sneaked in a 2nd glass before it was all packed away.
