I love a Gin Pack me and this St George, Gin Triple Pack is one of the best, St George is America's oldest craft distillery, founded in California and contains a trio of uniquely delicious gins, from the malty, peppery Dry Rye, to the evocative forest notes of Terroir and the wonderfully rounded Botanivore there is something for everyone.
For me this is just heaven, I get to taste 3 unique gins all in one go.. I love my job!
1st off the St. George Terroir Gin, I tried it in a Tom Collins and it is aromatic and evocative of pine forests in summer with an ultra woodsy feel this gin has a real sense of place.
Next the St. George Botanivore Gin, It tried this one in a Martini and the complex botanicals (it has 19 of them) exploded instantly in an elegant, refreshing and delightfully herbaceous way. Blooming lovely.
Finally, and I'm happy to report I'm beginning to feel the effects was the St. George Dry Rye Gin, I plumped for a Negroni and it was delightful, this juniper forward gin had an unmistakable maltiness, almost like a cross between a traditional London Dry and a Rye Whiskey and produced warm spice notes of black peppercorn and caraway.
What a wonderful day I've had, and what a wonderful gift this would be for any one who loves unique gins, one of the best.
