Well, for our October Gin Club's Stirling Gin, it all started rather humbly in 2015 when June and Cameron distilled their first bottle in a 2.4 litre copper pot to celebrate their 26th Wedding Anniversary. They used 6 carefully selected botanicals including Wild Stirlingshire Nettles” - yes, you heard that right: nettles, and these guys have not looked back since. Today they’re armed with multiple awards and a purpose-built distillery in the shadow of Stirling Castle itself, not bad going, hey.
Despite Stirling Gin having a rather simple looking bottle, I’ve got to say it’s still very beautiful with a lovely green wax seal and some amazing illustrations of the Wallace Monument and the Old Stirling Bridge. The gin itself has a distinctive flavour profile that is quite dry and immediately herbaceous with savoury notes that are complimented by a lighter, yet smooth and fresh citrus side before finishing with a little peppery sting of nettles; I was wondering when they would appear.
All in all, a versatile and proper gin drinker’s gin that’s at home in a cocktail as it is in a G&T.

We love gin so much we started our own Gin Club back in 2019 and pride ourselves on running the UK's friendliest dedicated gin club around. However, its very rare, but don't get me wrong, things do go wrong.
