In celebration of Liverpool winning the 2020 Premier League, we decided to showcase an organic 43% Gin from Liverpool's very own Gin distillery as our (July 2020 Gin Club).

Despite being a Sunderland fan all my life I decided it was only fair to put my loyalty aside for a moment to give you my honest and 'only slightly' biased review of this San Francisco World Spirits silver award winning Gin.

Now for the kick off! Upon first impression the bottle presented itself like the players themselves. Tall, confident and ready to strike your taste buds - which it certainly did. It broke through my defences before I knew it with a forward duo of coriander and juniper, with a follow up of citrus fruits and berries peppering my goal until the midfield of angelica roots scored a surprisingly easy and swift hat-trick - tactics we'll see replicated next year on the field I'm sure.

So there you have it, a wonderful all-around London Dry and another thing Liverpool has over poor old Sunderland. At the end of the day, I will never forgive them for their victory over us in the 1992 FA Cup Final so it will never be my go-to Gin of choice... but dare I say it; it's still a damn fine Gin.
