So here we all are, creeping up to summer, and lo and behold this simple yet intriguing bottle of British Polo Gin presented itself to me, telling me to pick it for (our May 2020 Gin Club) with its distinctive clear shine.

And rightfully so, considering a simple Gin in a simple bottle is not remotely close to what we're all about here and this quadruple distilled, hand crafted, small batch Gin made by Richard Hine (a former professional polo player) is right up our street. ...Not that we ever get invited to play polo mind you!

So off we go, my first impression was one full of anticipation, the bottle is a lovely shape and it just welcomes you in. From the initial aroma after cracking the bottle open to the final swig/gulp/sip (depending on how you drink), it has a calm, yet motivating flavour that blends the tangy citrus, gentle pepper and vanilla spices perfectly. In fact - no singular aspect takes dominant control making this far from a regular old Gin on your standard evening.
