Good mornin' to you lovely bunch. It's rather toasty here today in Lowestoft so it's perfect for tasting the latest gin to make its UK debut exclusively with interGIN. This time it's the Dry Gin XII from our friends at the 1898 founded French Distilleries et Provence. If you're one of our Gin Club members then you're in for a treat as this delightful gin will be the star of our July 2021 box.
Gin XII owes its name to the twelve plants and spices that are listed in order of importance on the bottle itself and takes advantage of their 'terroir', a suitably fancy word invented by the French which I had to look up, so I will let you do the same. The whole process is carried out using five unique distillates in a copper plate column still and produces a superbly balanced gin with enhanced finesse and an intense aroma that has often been described by the locals as like taking a stroll through the garrigue!
