Here at InterGin we love our fruits and earthly tones so I decided to present to you this 41% ABV Jackford Irish Potato Gin. If you were fortunate enough to be a member of our (Gin Club) then you would've also received this bottle in our September 2020 box.
With little suspense let us commence forth with the Gin itself, cracking this bottle open invoked an earthy and fruity aroma that tickled all the right parts of my nose with floral and tropical notes.
While this Gin may seem wacky or weird because it has potato in it trust me when I say it adds to the experience. When combined with gentle spices and herbs that are all home grown from the rich soil of Ireland, it comes together to create a great balance of flavour that can be enjoyed on almost any occasion.
My final note would be the Cockerel on the front of the bottle which seems very prideful, standing triumphantly over those potatoes with such confidence that I have no choice to give this Gin the thumbs-up. I was going to do that anyway by the way, I'm not doing it because an image of a chicken told me to, I haven't had THAT much to drink... Yet...
