Okily dokily, this London Dry Gin is a little more mainstream for us (especially to include as our November 2020 Gin Club), however we were in the middle of lockdown and to be honest we were a bit frazzled.

With that being said we still found this little gem. Hailing from the English Drinks Company's very own distillery this 40% London Dry may look a bit boring - but it did win a Silver Medal at the 2020 Gin Masters which made my ginsarian senses tingle somewhat in anticipation.

And boy did they prove me right. The first sip enveloped my nose and palate with classic juniper that you could instantly tell had been enhanced beautifully by the power of liquorice, coriander and the other teases of citrus botanicals that lingered in a relaxed and ultimately very satisfying aftertaste.

Overall this Gin surprised me, I can see why it has amassed a huge following in such a short amount of time. It is so brilliantly crafted in fact that even an untrained Ginsarian could tell you this is a very well rounded Gin with a lot of versatility and complexity in it. So a big well done to all the peeps at the English Drinks Company, you truly deserve every award you received.
