Welcome to a rather laid-back Gin created by two Scottish friends: Ramone and Gregor. Crag & Tail (as featured in our October 2020 Gin Club) is a crowd funded Gin brought to life in the Scottish Highlands of Angus.

Both the lads done well in geography at school I'm sure, as its aptly named after the hilly formations prevalent around Scotland caused by ancient glacier shifts (much like that which Edinburgh castle is built on), a Crag and Tail.

This Gin is made using 12 botanicals that primarily include elderflower, orange, lemon, kaffir leaf, coriander, cubeb, angelica and finally watermelon. This provides the palate a subtle sweetness, fruity crispness and a bit of spicy pizzazz to the finish. The recipe was actually complete after the initial distillation, with not a single tweak; call it remarkable luck or an educated guess!

In conclusion, this is a remarkably well-rounded Gin front loaded with juniper and citrus flavours, but includes a subtle element of spice that builds the body (without overpowering) before ending on a crisp and refreshing note. Another fine all-round versatile Gin, so pair it up with your favourite ice cold tonic, garnish with a wedge of zesty lime and enjoy!
