Cotswolds Dry (our March 2020 Gin Club) is a bottle designed to scream luxury. While all these other weird and wonderful Gin combinations out there are certainly fantastic, sometimes it's best to just get back to the classics.

But “classic” doesn't have to equate to “boring”. Fronted with juniper, coriander and angelica root macerated in pure wheat spirit for 24 hours reveals an unfiltered palatable delight that preserves the flavours imbued by the botanicals. That's right - just the very first step of making this gin takes an entire day!

Now onto the best bit, the uncorking: which opened up a lightly floral scent with subtle notes of juniper and lavender alongside a definitive fruity note - the grapefruit coming through. It is easily one of the best smelling Gins I've ever tried, and the first sip brought me a delectable sense of citrus that was tempered by a spicy black pepper, and what I believe to be bay leaves that ended on a herbaceous note of coriander and a touch of lavender. In short, dry Gins hold a special place in my heart amongst all the Gins in the world, and this one just secured itself a very special place inside of that special dry place. Not an easy feat! All in all, a Gin I can wholeheartedly recommend.
